Happy Emancipation Day Jamaica

Jamaica's Emancipation Day 2014 is a few days away and for such a small island we have come a long way. This island will always be home and paradise to many and although many of us will be celebrating this weekend we still have a lot of work to do to make Jamaica a better place. The image below is dedicated to this year Emancipation Day, hope you enjoy it.

I Had A Dream

I Had A Dream visuals were inspired by author Rob Hill Sr. This is the forth one of his audio that I've attempted to add my visuals to and I think this one is my favorite one so far. I recently took a trip to London and Paris and I wanted to film a few things that would remind me of my journey. However, I didn't want to show the norm which would just consist of your average amateur destination video. So I put some thought into it and the video below is what I came away with. Special thanks to my editor Collin who always encourages me to go out and shoot and we will make something out of it. Thanks to my main actress in the video, Sharea who took time out of her busy school day to show me around London and to be a great participant. In case you were wondering about the parts that I'm in ---- well the scene with me in front of The Louvre-- I stopped and asked an elderly lady who looked to be somewhere in her 60's to film me. She was a little hesitant at first but I showed her what to do and did a few walk thru with her then left the rest for her to capture. It was a quick shot in the video that took a few tries but it worked. I don't remember her name but I thank you sweet elderly lady. In return I took what I'm sure was an awesome picture of her and her friend in front of The Louvre. The Love Lock Bridge Scene - again I stopped a random person. This time she was a 16 year old Brazilian who happen to speak English. After convincing her, her aunt and her mom to borrow 5min minutes of their time I setup the shot for her and then showed her how to capture what I wanted. The result worked and I thank you Gifreitas98. I was told that half of life is about showing up. I showed up in Paris and pleased with what I came away with. While we don't always get what we want, we always get what we choose. The scene with me in the bed room was captured by my friend Jessie (thanks Jessie). Everything else captured by me, myself, and I. No special equipment besides my camera and the knowledge of knowing what to capture. Hope you enjoy the video but most importantly I hope you pay close attention to the spoken words in the video that motivated me to go out and create. My Visit To London & Paris

It's noted that traveling broadens your horizons and that's exactly what it did for me when I recently visited London and Paris. I decided to visit London due to a short film project I was a apart of and I'm glad I went. I felt like a kid due to all the first time experiences I encountered like seeing the London Eye, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Palace of Westminster, Tate Modern and so many more that I've only read about. I felt like a new me was rediscovered. There were many things I loved about London. It was easy to get around, the people were so polite, there were lots to see, lots to do, everyone was pretty much a walking fashion statement etc. One of the few things I dislike was their cuisine. The food was very bland and being from Jamaican and South Florida that's a taste my taste buds aren't familiar with.. Another thing I didn't like was the cost of things. If you're an American and go over there basically your money will be cut in half lol. Thanks to my beautiful friends Sharea, Keesha and Catherine for being such wonderful host to me. It's great to experience other cultures and some how this experience has left me with a new found enthusiasm for exploring. Tower Bridge

Big Ben

London Eye

While in London I took the Eurostar over to Paris to do some more exploring. There I visited Notre Dame, The Louvre, The Arc de Triomphe, The Avenue des Champs-Elysees, The Love Lock Bridge, and the Eiffel Tower. I found getting around in Paris a little more difficult, maybe thats due to the language barrier and I found the people to be a little more impertinent (not all of them). It's also more expensive than London. Overall I enjoyed Paris. I finally got to capture my own images of these famous monuments even though the weather wasn't the best. If I had to choose between the two I would definitely pick London.

Love Lock Bridge

Avenue Champs-Elysees

Arc de Triomphe

Eiffel Tower

I embarked on this adventure by myself with an open mind and an open heart. Although I made the trip alone I was never lonely. I made new friends that I know will be a part of my future. Many people travel for different reasons, regardless of the reason its a big event. The right trip can be one of your greatest experience. The unknown can be thrilling and its a vast world of unknown out there. If you don't have a passport I suggest you get one and explore a new destination as soon as possible. It could be a new you waiting to be discovered.

50 Kisses World Premiere

About a year ago I filmed my first short film titled "Nothing Ventured" which was part of a larger filmed titled "50 Kisses." The premiere took place in London on February 13th and I decided to visit London for the first time and be apart of the world premiere of 50 Kisses. The movie basically consists of fifty short films that's put together to make one movie. Over 500 people attended the premiere. The red carpet were filled with future film-makers who all had something to do with the production of 50 Kisses. It was a learning experience for me and I'm glad I participated in the competition and glad I made the trip for the premiere. Special thanks to my cast and crew because it wouldn't be possible without them and thanks to the creators of 50 Kisses for allowing so many to participate and be a part of a one of a kind project.. I was also able to bring back home to Florida the award for "Winning Production Team"

No Guarantees In Love

I'm a big fan of Rob Hill Sr. His words provided the inspiration for this visual. Thanks to Brett, Infinity Concierge, and Doral Luxury Motors for letting me play with the Lamborghini. With only about two hours to spear with the Lamborghini I got a few shots in and the result is what you see below. It doesn't always have to be perfect, but you do have to show up and showing up is half the battle. Thanks Collin and thanks Jo-Ann. If you have a dream go after it. Don't sit around and wait for things to happen go out and make them happen. Watch your thoughts they become words. Watch your words they become actions. Watch your actions they become habits. Watch your habits they become character. Watch your character it becomes your destiny.

A Letter To The Hearts Part 1

A Letter To The Hearts is written by Rob Hill Sr. I recently started following his work and I must say he has a gift with the way he deliver his words. I almost think he is some kind of messiah. After going through his work one night I came across A Letter To The Hearts and thought it was very inspiring; so inspiring that I wanted to go out and create my own visuals to it. Last weekend I decided to do just that and below is my inspiration from this piece. I hope this will inspire many others as much as it inspired me. Thanks for sharing Rob Hill Sr and special thanks to all my friends who were willing to bring my vision to life. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APC744hlejQ]
