Trinidad's carnival is one of the best carnivals in the world. If the Trini's aren't celebrating it, then they are preparing for it, while reminiscing about last year carnival. The video below is a recap video of Carnival 2012 in Trinidad. Yes I know its late but better late than never. I had a great time last year; unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this year :( but hopefully I will be back in 2014. It's Carnival Time Again

Miami Carnival 2012 is only a couple days away where you will experience the sounds of soca/calypso thumping, the sight women gyrating their bodies in carnival costumes, the touch of feathers, and the taste of jerk/curry. Come enjoy over three (3) miles (5 kilometers) of color and pageantry as 10,000+ Carnival revelers take to the streets in Miami celebrating 25 years of Miami Carnival on 10-7-2012. Carnival this year in Jamaica was a good one. Im glad it didn't rain as much as it did last year and the music this year was a lot better. Its nowhere close to Trinidad's carnival but being around many of my good friends and new friends made up for that.

Trinidad's Carnival 2012 it did live up to the hype. I had the opportunity to play Mas with Island People who featured Dj Bambino as one of their Dj's who shell down the place. One thing that's certain is the lack of sleep you will receive due to all the partying. At one point I forgot the days of the week. Needless to say I will be back for another one.

Miami Carnival 2010

This year Miami Carnival was held at Sun Life Stadium. I like the location because its very central for most folks. I was unable to see the bands once I paid to go inside the park due to the setup and being blocked off. Other than what I considered a bad setup inside the park, carnival weekend was very good.

Miami Carnival has been an Annual Event since 1984. Within two years of its inception, it had grown from a small neighborhood festival to an international event. This past weekend was no different. I enjoy carnival and all that it has to offer like the music, the food, the celebration, the photography it allows me to capture and the beautiful women. I did not enjoy how long it took to get the bands in the park. I met with my friends in the band around 11:30am and we did not get in the park until around 8-9pm. By then I had gotten one hell of a tan that I did not anticipate. I also dislike that they did not seperate the masqueraders from the crowd. Besides that it was a great event as usual and looking forward to checking out Trinidad's carnival very soon.
